Missouri Consumer Directed Services lets a Medicaid member choose who provides their personal care, including a family member or trusted friend. That caregiver gets paid through MO HealthNet. There is no waiting list to receive personal care in Missouri.
What it pays
Roughly $15 to $20 an hour, within program limits.
Who qualifies
The person receiving care has MO HealthNet and needs help with daily tasks. The caregiver can be an adult relative or trusted friend, but not a spouse or legal guardian, and must be at least 18.
